Hello,

I have sent a request to rename categories and subcategories for the next version of the software. Currently we do not have the option to add categories or to rename them but what you can do is to add subcategories under different categories and ignore the meat section altogether. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Thank you for using trackmyfoodstorage.com

I don't know if this will help you but I am a vegetarian who is also lactose intolerant...and I'm single so there are many things on the inventory manager that I don't use as well. If you look under the food storage goals, however, there's no mention of meat. With the dairy section I do add almond milk even though its technically not "milk" and as for the meat section I just ignore it or if I do happen to get faux meat (which is extremely rare) then I add the faux meat to that particular section. As for babies...well, I don't have any of those either so I just ignore and move on. It is nice that they have put in the request to add, delete, and change categories and subcategories though :)

I know this is a very old thread, but I was so happy to see that this is planned for a future version of the software. I hope it's coming soon! There are tons of pre-populated items that we are never going to store--relish, guava, papaya, pancake mix, all wheat items--in fact, now that I'm looking at it, most of the pre-populated items are not on our storage list!

And, of course, the vast majority of items that we store are not on the list, so thank goodness that I can just add those in.

Thank you for considering this important feature. It's going to be so nice to be able to tidy away the unused items (or at least hide them!)

I am new to this but I agree that being able to change the catagorie and subs to my needs would be much better.
