Alright, I need some generator advice....I have looked at some prices and they are pretty expensive so I want to get the right kind. I need something to power up my fridge, freezer, and at least one room. If anyone has a certain brand they think is better or experience with generators then by all means share the wealth : ) ....

Thanks

Well, there are some pretty expensive generators but then there are some that aren't that bad. It depends on what you need it for. I would go to Lowes and/or Home Depot and compare prices and then ask for information. I know both places are real helpful and courteous to their customers, so don't feel embarrassed to ask questions...

I would also check out the Craigslist site. We found ours from a construction company that was selling off tools. It is also very important to start up your generator at least once a month. This circulates the gas and makes sure all is in good working order. No one wants to be in the position of having a generator and then have it inoperable when you need it most.
