Food Storage for Newbies

If there is a bulk sales place like sams club or bj's those are both great for snagging sales. I suggest sitting down and crunching numbers. Figure out what you spend each month, gather receipts and such. For me, creating a budget has really helped with getting my food storage going. Its amazing to gather receipts and figure out how much you are spending and for me I realized that most of it was frivolous spending and could have saved a whole lot. Really have a heart to heart with "want vs needs".

Build up your 3 month supply slowly if you can't do it quickly.

Start by adding a few of your favorite foods to your food storage area.

There is no need to pressure yourself into getting a 3 month supply immediately.

Start small and build up.

You just need to take the first step, every time you go to the supermarket look for specials and buy your favorite one by one.
